I sure appreciate the weekends -- especially when I don't have to work during them.
it's thursday :: june 11
Two weeks from today we will be at the Dwell conference in Los Angeles. It's not something we've ALWAYS wanted to go to, but more of a feeling like it was about time to return to LA. Plus, we have wanted to travel to a city and go on a homes tour. It all came together magically and now, we can have it all!
In addition to that, our plan is to do some new things and return to some of our favorites:
Hammer Museum at UCLA - Old
Tuk Tuk Thai food - Old
The Getty Villa in Malibu - New
Ace Gallery - Old
The Huntington - Library, Art Collection, and Botanical Gardens - Old
Bergamot Station - Old
There's plenty to be done! I must hurry and get there! There's no time!
tuesday :: june 2
I'm not sure which item is more of a deterrent to blogging. Let's consider the factors:
1. The force of air on my forehead coming from the air conditioning vent above.
2. The roar of the motor on this 5-year old Dell desktop.
3. The additional chill of the air falling on me as I sit here, cold.
4. The tangle of cords and parts.
5. The crawl at which this computer operates.
I am in the market for a new laptop - but have you ever tried to buy a computer?!?!? Oh the choices! Sure I could make it easy and pour a bunch of money on an Apple and pick from one of their 5 computers... but no. I can't do that. I CAN, it seems, continue to suffer on this clunker in the meantime.
In any case, happy June! Summer is finally here.
